Spend a full day touring Vientiane: visit the Ho Phrakeo, where the Emerald Buddha was enshrined at the beginning of the Lane Xang Kingdom, the Vat Sisaket, known as the Buddha Museum, where more than ten thousand Buddha statues in niches can be seen, the morning market, and the Patouxai before lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon discover That Luang Stupa then enjoy an excursion by car to the Buddha Park of Xieng Khouane. Return to your hotel by the end of the afternoon.

Pick up at your hotel and depart to discover Luang Prabang and in particular Vat May Temple, which was the residence of a Buddhist patriarch before 1975, visit the National Museum (formerly the Royal Palace), and walk up Mount Phousi for an outstanding view over the former Royal capital. Lunch in a local restaurant and in the afternoon visit Vat Sene, Vat Xieng Thong, considered one of the most beautiful temples of Luang Prabang, Vat Visoune built in the 16th century, Vat Aham, and the Thai Lu village of Ban Phanom.

Pick up at your hotel and drive to the beautiful waterfalls of Khouang Sy. On the way stop at the H’Mong village of Ban Na Ouane and the Lao Loum village of Ban Xome or Ban Ou. Take a picnic lunch near the waterfalls and in the afternoon, drive back to Luang Prabang. Continue to Ban Xangkhong, a weaving village where jute paper production can also be seen before returning to your hotel.

Pick up at your hotel and transfer to the local pier to take a traditional boat for a cruise to visit the sacred Buddha caves of Pak Ou. On the way stop to visit Vat Chomepet, Vat Longkoune and Ban Xang Hai where sticky rice wine is distilled before having lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit Tham Ting and Tham Phoum caves, home to hundreds of Buddha statues then continue to Ban Phanom weaving village.

Pick up at your hotel and drive to Tadlo Saravane. On the way visit a Katou village at Ban Houei Houne, a Nge village at Ban Kok Phung and an Alack village at Ban Kandone. Arrive in Tadlo and, weather permitting, enjoy a swim before lunch. In the afternoon continue to the Bolovens Plateau where tea and coffee plantations can be seen and stop at other minority villages. Arrive in Pakse late in the afternoon.

Pick up at your hotel and drive to Wat Phou Champassak. On the way, stop at the ruins of the Khmer temple of Oup Mong at Ban Houei Tomo. Arrive in Ban Mouang and take a ferry across the river then continue by road to Champassak. Lunch in a local restaurant and in the afternoon visit Wat Phou, a Khmer temple dating from the 8-11th century classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After a short ride out of town you and your local guide will arrive at the Elephant Park Project area. Enjoy the new perspective and the amazing nature on this 1 hour elephant ride. The soft half day trekking (about 3 to 4 hours) will lead you out into a Khamu village where you get an insight in everyday life and culture of this hill tribe. This village trek is part of the “Fair Trek” Project which supports seven villages in the area.

The Chef of Tum Tum Cheng Restaurant invites you to discover the secrets of traditional Royal Lao Cuisine. You will be taken to the colorful Phousy Food Market where you will buy the fresh ingredients. At the restaurant, you will prepare and fix the dishes under a sun roof in their airy garden. Enjoy your "self-cooked" lunch and receive printed recipes to cook Lao food for your friends at home.

In the mid-afternoon, pick up at your hotel and enjoy a traditional Baci ceremony including a welcome soft drink and local dessert. Then, enjoy Lao traditional dances such as Duang Champa dance, Wishing dance, Ravana dance, Hanuman dance, Nang Keo dance. Return to your hotel after this culturally enriching evening.
