Pick up at your hotel and depart to discover Luang Prabang and in particular Vat May Temple, which was the
residence of a Buddhist patriarch before 1975, visit the National Museum (formerly the Royal Palace), and walk
up Mount Phousi for an outstanding view over the former Royal capital. Lunch in a local restaurant and in the
afternoon visit Vat Sene, Vat Xieng Thong, considered one of the most beautiful temples of Luang Prabang, Vat
Visoune built in the 16th century, Vat Aham, one of the city’s major tutelary shines housing the puppets
of the Lao ancestors and the Thai Lu village of Ban Phanom.

KHOUANG SY WATERFALLS, 1 day
Pick up at your hotel and drive to the beautiful waterfalls of Khouang Sy. On the way stop at the H’Mong village of Ban Na Ouane and the Lao Loum village of Ban Xome or Ban Ou. Take a picnic lunch near the waterfalls and in the afternoon, drive back to Luang Prabang. Continue to Ban Xangkhong, a weaving village where jute paper production can also be seen before returning to your hotel.

Pick up at your hotel and transfer to the local pier to take a traditional boat for a cruise to visit the sacred Buddha caves of Pak Ou. On the way stop to visit Vat Chomepet, Vat Longkoune and Ban Xang Hai where sticky rice wine is distilled before having lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit Tham Ting and Tham Phoum caves, home to hundreds of Buddha statues then continue to Ban Phanom weaving village. Return to Luang Prabang by the end of the afternoon and transfer to your hotel.

BOLOVENS PLATEAU, 1 day
Pick up at your hotel and drive to Tadlo Saravane. On the way visit a Katou village at Ban Houei Houne, a Nge village at Ban Kok Phung and an Alack village at Ban Kandone. Arrive in Tadlo and, weather permitting, enjoy a swim before lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon continue to the Bolovens Plateau where tea and coffee plantations can be seen and stop at other minority villages. Arrive in Pakse late in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel.

WAT PHOU TEMPLE, 1 day
Pick up at your hotel and drive to Wat Phou Champassak. On the way, stop at the ruins of the Khmer temple of Oup Mong at Ban Houei Tomo. Arrive in Ban Mouang and take a ferry across the river then continue by road to Champassak. Lunch in a local restaurant and in the afternoon visit Wat Phou, a Khmer temple dating from the 8-11th century classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Pakse in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel.

ELEPHANT RIDING & TREKKING, 1 day
Departure from your hotel at about 8h30 or 9h00.
After a short ride out of town you and your local guide
will arrive at the Elephant Park Project area for a day of activities. The Elephant Park Project is located next
to the “Lao Spirit Resort” about 15 km out of town and in the middle of a wonderful mountainous
surrounding.
After crossing the small river you will be introduced to the Asian elephants and go out for a
scenic ride. Enjoy the new perspective and the amazing nature on this 1 hour elephant ride. Stunning landscape,
quietness, and the lush nature give you a relaxing stay on the back of the protected elephant. Your will make
your way through small forests and along the Nam Khan river near the amazing Tad Sae waterfalls (different trail
in dry season from January to August).
At the waterfall or the river you can hang out for some swimming and
bathing in the refreshing cool water. Lunch will be served either near the magnificent waterfalls or on the
Mountain View veranda of the “Lao Spirit Resort”.
The soft half day trekking (about 3 to 4
hours) will lead you out into a Khamu village where you get an insight in everyday life and culture of this hill
tribe. The village is situated on the foot of a big mountain range. Most of the people here are farmers and
fishermen and live from their traditional way of agriculture. They even speak a different language and your
guide will help you to ask questions. This village trek is part of the “Fair Trek” Project which
supports seven villages in the area. It is in cooperation between authorities, the villages and the operating
tour company.

experience in Laos. You will be taken to the colorful and pulsing Phousy Food Market where you will buy the
fresh ingredients for the meals you selected to cook. At the restaurant you will prepare them for cooking and
then they will fix the dishes under a sun roof in their airy garden. The experienced chefs will explain to you
the differences of South East Asian cuisines and you will receive the printed recipes providing you with the
possibility to cook Lao food for your friends at home.
